My First Design
Hello fashion friends! My name is Olivia, call me Liv. I am nine years old. I want to introduce my new website called Liv's Dress Code to you guys. This is a website where we communicate, have opinions, and learn about different sorts of fashion. In this design I really like the color. But apparently she has a little bed head.I wanted to make this blog because I am really interested in fashion.I wanted to see what other people thought about my design. Not just my parents.Because parents will always say it is GREAT!That is SUPER DEE DOOPER nice of them...but I want to see what others would think. In my design you can see there are slanted lines on the dress.I really love the slanted lines. It could be pretty without the lines but the lines to me give it more than just a plain green dress.Of course the sleeve design helps to not focus on the bed head.Yeah, I sorta messed up on the hair. Now back to talking about Liv's Dress Code.I guess I should keep telling you guys more about me.Well, I have 2 siblings, brother and sister.I am the oldest.I live in a divorced family. So I know 4 family's since my mom and dad got married.I have a WONDERFUL step dad and an AWESOME step mom.Designing is one of my favorite hobbies.I will have on Liv's Dress Code a fashion question every week. Whoever answers the answer first and right I will post he or she's(but probably she) name.Don't forget to say who you are so I know if you won .If your name isn't on there but you won I don't know what to do. Here's the question. What was known as the fashion capital?Good bye!
*FYI--This is Olivia's mom. I am moderating this site at all times. All comments go through me first. Thx!

Hi Olivia!! Wow! How cool is this?! Fashion is a really fun business to get into and I think your perfect for it. You already have good style and a great personality on top of that. Youre going to be awesome at it. I cant wait to see your designs on the runway some day! I want front row. :D

p.s. I think i know the answer to your question but I'll let others guess first. xoxo
Oh.... and also. I love your design above. Simple and classy with a pop of red in her lips. Nicely done. And I actually like the bed head. Puts some sass into her. ;)
ReplyDeleteOlivia - this is your Auntie Annie. I love that you have started your own blog. Lucy can't read yet, but I am sure when she can, she will love to read your blog because she is already very picky about what she wears.
ReplyDeleteI think your first design is fantastic. Kelly green is such a great color right now and the slanted lines of the dress add a lot of interest. I have a few suggestions for you - instead of matching all the greens together (the eye make-up and the dress and the shoes), I thought it might be fun to mix and match some colors to compliment your model's dress. For example, purple eye shadow goes very well with green eyes. And a different color shoe will add a pop of color to the whole outfit making it more visually interesting.
I actually love your model's hair too - very sassy.
In terms of your question about the fashion capital, I think there are four answers - London, Milan, Paris, and New York City.
Well, Miss Olivia or Liv... I'm beside myself with joy over this new venture of yours! Your designs and art work are amazing already and it will be fun to watch how your model's fashion's change! :) Green is one of my all time favorite colors, so I say, "Way to go with your first fashion blog!" Since I am of the more "mature" body/age generation, I keep wishing that there were some fashions that were a little longer for those of us who still like style and fashions, but don't look so very chic in such short outfits. Just a thought. Maybe you could design for a wide variety of clientel. How fun would that be for "Grandma Dian" to buy a dress made by "Liv!" Here's to the future! Oh, by the way, I think Paris use to be the "first in fashion" city in Europe. Then New York was here in the states.
ReplyDeleteI love it! This is a great idea for a creative outlet. How fun would it be if more and more people started checking out your designs and the word kept spreading?! :) Think big! You have a great mind for design and also the talent for sketching it out. Even if I could think of creative outfits, I'd never be able to put them on paper! :) Love Annie's idea of giving the model a sassy shoe--some kind of floral pattern on a chunky wedge shoe or a metallic gold strappy sandal?? The possibilities in shoes are endless!!! Can't wait for the next installment...
ReplyDeleteHi olivia, it's julia ekberg. i like your design a lot it is very cool. your design is very cool. miss you julia :)
ReplyDeleteThis is Julia's mom--if you keep it up, I'll have to have you design some swimsuits for me! :) Carri
Liv...I think it is awesome that your are designing. Today it is so hard to find modest clothing and I think it is great that you have kept her clothing modest. I am excited to see more of your fashions. Jenna loves to design clothing and outfits. You should have a fashion designing party with fabrics and styles, the girls would love it. Congrats and thanks for Sharing your talent!
ReplyDeleteHi, Olivia! This is Cherry Rush. My family and I were your neighbors in Utah. I am loving your blog! I love fashion, too. I love clothes and so I am excited you have this talent and that you are sharing it with us! I love this dress! I have 5 daughters and whenever we go shopping for dresses for a dance, we always have such a hard time finding cute, modest dresses. I really like the shape of this dress. It is flattering, but still modest. I am short, so I love dresses that are just to the knee like you have because I think it makes me look just a little taller! I'm excited to see what other creations you come up with!
ReplyDeleteLiv... this is tatum. Luv your design! You should put more designs on your blog. :) I think It's really cool that you have a blog. I've been begging my mom to help me make one. but it hasn't happened yet. Anyway, this is FOR SURE not about me, this about you!!! Kay, you are an awesome designer, so keep up the good work!:D
ReplyDeleteIt is a must that the baby clothes be kept in a clean place, ready for washing. Thanks
